We’re making it easier than ever to manage customer and teammate notifications across SMS, push notifications, and email! With this update, you can:

  1. Turn Notifications On/Off – Enable or disable notifications for specific recipients (customers or teammates).
  2.  Filter & Organize – View notifications grouped by type (messages, customers, jobs) and filter by status (active/disabled).
  3. Manage Notification Timing – Adjust when notifications are sent (e.g., immediately, 1 hour before, or a fixed time).
  4. Preview Notification Content – See the exact message and its trigger (e.g., "New Appointment Created").

Where to Access:

  • Web App: Navigate to Settings → Notifications to manage notifications across your business.

Broadcast Messages

Feature Overview:

We’re excited to introduce Broadcast Messaging, a powerful new tool that makes it easy to send personalized messages to multiple customers at once. With this update, you can:

  1. Create & Manage Templates – Save time by creating, editing, and reusing message templates.
  2. Filter Recipients – Target messages based on appointment type, assigned teammate, or specific date ranges.
  3. Personalize Messages – Use dynamic fields like customer name and appointment details to customize messages effortlessly.

  5. Send Instantly – No scheduling required—send messages to selected recipients with one click.

Where to Access

  • Web App: Navigate to Messages → ⋮ (Action Menu)  → Broadcast Message to create and send a broadcast message. Broadcast messages send right away - scheduling broadcast messages will be added as a feature in an upcoming release.

Please Note: Broadcast Messages are intended solely for transactional communications related to service updates, closures, and other essential customer notifications. Use of this feature for marketing, or unsolicited promotions is strictly prohibited by law.

Drag and Drop Route Builder

Feature Overview:

For businesses with Route-view enabled, SERV now enables Pros to build predictable and consistent routes for recurring events. With this update you can easily modify your appointment sequence and apply changes across an entire series of recurring events.

Key Enhancements:

1. Drag-and-Drop Route Adjustment

  • Rearrange appointments by dragging and dropping them into the desired order.

2. New Workflow for Updating Recurring Appointments

  • After adjusting the order, tap the ‘Save to Future Appointments’ button.
  • The system checks current event times against future occurrences and updates the series accordingly.
  • Changes apply to all recurring appointments for that day.

 3. New ‘Save Changes to Future Appointments’ Button

  • Located in the top-left header for easy access.

4. Confirmation Alert for Transparency

  • When saving changes, a confirmation alert appears listing:
    • The number of appointments in the series being updated.
    • A summary of changes applied.

5. Multi-User Synchronization

  • Updates apply to all users viewing the route, ensuring team-wide consistency.

Subscription Abandoner Sequence

Feature Overview:

Convert customers to complete payment, for those who abandon the subscription signup. New, updated reminder notifications for customers and technicians

Key Enhancements:

1. Automatically Convert Subscription Abandoners

  • Customers who have not provided payment details after signing up will receive reminders on the 1st, 3rd, and 7th day.
  • Message Template:
"Hello <customer>. We’re so happy you’ve considered working with <business_name> to <service>. But we noticed we still need some info from you to finish the sign-up process. Click this link to continue: <link>”
  • Admins/owners will also receive a push notification prompting them to follow up:
"<customer> started sign-up for <service_type> but did not provide payment info. Follow up?"
  • No reminders will be sent once payment details are provided.

Smart Follow Up and Reminder Notifications

1. Technician Daily Appointment Summary

  • Technicians will receive a notification at 8 AM (business timezone) with their scheduled appointment count for the day.
  • Message Template:
"You have <appointment_count> appointments scheduled for today."
  • Applies to both normal and subscription job appointments.

2. Morning Appointment Reminders

  • Customers will receive a reminder at the start of business hours on their appointment date.
  • Some customers hate getting appointment notices at 7am! This handy option is an alternative to sending messages one hour of an appointment for businesses who need it.
  • Message Template:
"This is a reminder that <business_name> will be arriving today,
    <current_date>,
to do the job “<job_name>”. Please plan for the appointment to take about <duration>.”
  • The arrival window will be included based on the appointment type setting (‘Include arrival window in message’).
  • Applies to subscriptions created via the dashboard or consumer form.

3. Smart Notification Handling:

  • If the "Send SMS reminders to customers" setting is disabled, these reminders will not be sent.
